Created for the Magic: The Gathering Visions set, Impulse is an iconic piece by fantasy artist and comic/graphic novel illustrator Bryan Talbot. Released in 1997 by Wizards of the Coast, as part of the Mirage block, Impulse was a long-time staple of many decks across formats, and at one point was essentially “power-level errata’ed” for being too strong as originally printed (the “shuffle your library” clause was removed).
